Telehealth coverage expansion’s impact on access to mental health care

Overview Resources

Project Overview

The expansion of state insurance coverage for telehealth during COVID may have an impact on mental health care for both adults and children as telehealth makes seeing a clinician more flexible. However, it may make communication and building trust between clinicians and patients harder. We will examine the impact of various state policies expanding telehealth coverage on the diagnoses of and treatments for anxiety and depressive disorders for both adults and children.
