Dr. Vishnu Garla is an Associate Professor at the University Of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, Mississippi. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine-Pediatrics at Marshall University, West Virginia, and an Endocrinology fellowship at the University Of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr.Garla supervises the Diabetes Remote Patient Monitoring Program at the University of Mississippi Telehealth Center of Excellence. He also serves as the Associate Program Director of the Endocrinology fellowship program and the Associate Medical Director of the Clinical Research and Trials Unit. His research interests include the utilization of technology to overcome barriers in diabetes care, and the effect of chronic diseases on bone metabolism. Besides, endocrinology he enjoys reading historical accounts and biographies of eminent people.
