Project Overview

To improve the quality of life and overall well-being of cancer survivors in Mississippi through a tailored virtual support platform that enhances self-efficacy and addresses the unique challenges faced by this population.

Participants are asked to participate virtually in ten, one-hour sessions over the course of two weeks (weekdays only). Sessions are typically held around lunch time (11:00 AM – 12:00 PM CST, or 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM CST) and via the WebEx platform. Presentations will be recorded for playback as needed.

  • Mindfulness and Emotional Well-being
  • Nutrition and Physical Activity
  • Treatment Side Effects
  • Physical Intimacy and Cancer

The program coordinator will notify individuals of their application status, answer any potential questions and share the specific program schedule. Survivor University is offered quarterly and limited to 25 participants each session to allow for meaningful engagement with presenters and other participants.
