RPM Collaboration with FQHCs and Other Rural Entities

Overview Resources

Project Overview

Many rural clinics including FQHCs are actively planning to implement RPM for improving their patient population with chronic diseases. However, many such entities lack the expertise, knowledge and infrastructure to implement successful rpm programs. Also many of the the FQHCs have sizable Medicaid population that have not benefited from rpm programs to the extent that of the Medicare population because of barriers like prior authorization, small number of chronic diseases covered under the service as well as reimbursement issues. We would like to collaborate with FQHCs to demonstrate value for the RPM program for Medicaid population living in rural areas of Mississippi.
