Project Overview

There is an acute nursing shortage in the country that has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Nurse burn out and ability to therefore recruit and retain nurses are major barriers to having an adequate nursing staff for health system operations. Rural health care entities are specially impacted by nursing shortage. Most health systems have turned to innovation and Technology to find solutions, however rigorous studies are still lacking. In this project we will design and implement a virtual nursing project that will enable remote nurses to assist bedside nurses in order to reduce burn out, improve efficiency and enhance patient satisfaction.
