Implementation of a Telehealth ICU Recovery Clinic

Project Overview

Survivors of critical illness often have new problems after an ICU stay, including new medical issues, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, physical impairments, and cognitive dysfunction. MUSC offers a convenient and novel primarily telehealth-based ICU Recovery Clinic to help patients and caregivers navigate recovery after critical illness. Through this clinic, we plan to provide much-needed services to ICU survivors as well as investigate ways to improve the recovery process for patients.
