Data Integration and Reporting – HIE and TH Platform

Project Overview

Workplan Goal: This workplan investigates the integration and utilization of the statewide Health Information Exchange (HIE) implemented by the Mississippi Hospital Association, alongside other technological solutions, to streamline and enhance patient care. The primary objective is to consolidate diverse data sources into a unified view within UMMC's Epic EMR platform. By leveraging data from the statewide HIE and additional sources, the project aims to update clinical information seamlessly, including patient appointments at other facilities, and to provide real-time updates on medications and laboratory results for Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) patients. This year, we are also implementing a referral network across the HIE in order to streamline referrals utilizing the information that is already contained in the HIE.
