COE Webinar Series: Innovations in Tele-Rehabilitation: AI-Enabled Biomechanical Monitoring and Home-Based Rehab Platform
July 8 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm CDT

Presenters: Dr. Jacob Daniels (UMMC) and Dr. Soroush Korivand (Mississippi State University)
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the feasibility of telerehabilitation for improving access to rehabilitation services and supporting recovery following orthopedic surgery in rural and medically underserved populations.
- Describe how artificial intelligence, computer vision, finger segmentation, and biomechanical modeling can enhance remote rehabilitation assessment through objective measurement of movement, range of motion, force, and joint torque.
- Identify future directions and implementation considerations for telerehabilitation, including validation methods, environmental factors, and strategies for integrating AI-enabled monitoring into clinical practice
